Join us for a Mom's Coffee and discussion with Corvallis author George Estreich, who recently released The Shape of the Eye. He also wrote an OpEd in the New York Times about the waiter in Texas who stood up for a child with Down Syndrome at his restaurant. George's daughter was born with Down syndrome 11 years ago and his book chronicles the feelings, challenges and rewards of raising Laura. It's a wonderful read and can be found at all major bookstores, as well as iBooks, Amazon and Kindle. Daycare will be provided.

“When Megan was born, I was unprepared and totally overwhelmed. The early months of her life were filled with many trips to the doctor, unanswered questions and feelings of isolation.
By meeting other parents of children with disabilities, I began to realize that Megan was my mission. Megan has brought laughter, joy and endless love to my husband, myself, her three older brothers and those around her. She is the sparkle in our lives.”
